We spent the day relaxing, reading, showering and generally hanging around after the morning safari. We did walk all the way to the dining room (about 100 meters) for lunch, and all the way back. The day had begun cool and cloudy, but cleared in the afternoon. I was expecting a rainy evening safari - but it was lovely.
At four we met in the bar area for tea. We had a guest who was chased away, although she did seem to want to join in.

Here she is, dejected and leaving the tea.
At 4:30 we hopped into the safari vehicles and went off for the evening jaunt. Gus asked us what we wanted to see and we all said "lions". And lions was our main attraction.
Another solo giraffe. He was incredibly shy. Once he realized we were taking photos, he stood behind the tree hiding his head. Sigh
Impalas are everywhere. This group had a nice sun angle for me.
We finally found our lions. Two females and their cubs.
He had been nursing and was up for a moment, before falling back to sleep
Sunset in the park.
Gus and Alec at our evening drinking party.
We did manage to also see zebras in a fairly large herd that was too far away to get proper photos of. We also saw a few hippos that had gone to the same "I vant to be alone" school as our solo giraffe. They'd surface for a second, then drop under the water for several minutes. Sigh. Another time
Once it got dark, we relocated the lions who were out for a meal. Once they saw us, they lay down and waited until we stopped most of the photographing - then got up ready to get to work.
Tomorrow, we begin again at 5 AM
